Bowdon Prep says NO to bullying
The ethos of our school fosters high expectations of outstanding behaviour, and we reinforce the message that bullying will not be tolerated. In February, Lucia Davies, author and children’s entertainer, came into school to deliver an assembly about anti-bullying to all our pupils. The girls thoroughly enjoyed this assembly and listened attentively as Lucia spread the message of no bullying through her debut story ‘Pod’.
It helped the girls to answer the questions:
What Is Bullying?
Bullying is unacceptable behaviour used by an individual or group, usually repeated over time, that intentionally hurts another individual or group either physically or emotionally.
Why is it Important to Respond to Bullying?
Bullying hurts. No one deserves to be a victim of bullying. Bullying has the potential to damage the mental health of a victim. Everybody has the right to be treated with respect. Pupils who are bullying need to learn different ways of behaving.
