Timperley Field Lacrosse Tournament

On Tuesday 1 November, our Year 6 A and B teams played in the Timperley Girls’ Field Lacrosse Tournament. The B teams played against all A teams and whilst they lost their games against Bollin School, Hale Prep and Withington Girls, they were worthy winners against Navigation and Willows Primary Schools. The A team won all 5 matches in their section without even conceding a goal! We qualified for the final against Hale Prep and during an extremely exciting game, with 5 seconds remaining and our team in the lead 3-2, Hale Prep scored a goal on the final buzzer to draw the match 3-3. The girls played 2 minutes extra time and despite our girls’ outstanding play and determined efforts, Hale scored a goal to secure the final, 4-3. Congratulations to our A team finalists. Mrs Baxter and all the staff are very proud of both teams performances and they all looked so smart and professional in their lacrosse kit. Many thanks to the parents for their support from the sidelines!
