Community links

Christmas started early for the residents of Handsworth when the Year 6 girls visited for the afternoon to entertain them. Each elderly lady and gentleman received a festive tin of biscuits and a handmade card with a cheery message from the girls. They then listened to a lively rendition of Christmas songs and carols and joined in when they could. The girls chatted to the residents; many of them talked about Christmas celebrations of the past. 

This was a heartwarming visit and many of us left with a little tear in our eyes as the residents were so happy to see us!
