International Women’s Day Visitor

In the lead up to International Women’s Day, we were very grateful to BBC television newsreader and presenter, Babita Sharma, who kindly took time to visit us and talk to the Junior girls.  She gave us an inspirational insight into her exciting career with the BBC as well as sharing footage from her intrepid journey to Northwest India and Pakistan while filming the documentary ‘Dangerous Borders’.  This was particularly relevant to our Year 4 girls, who have been finding out more about partition in 1947 as part of their study of India this term.  She rounded off her talk with a masterclass in interview technique – and thanks go also to Mrs Gee, who acquitted herself well when put on the spot as interviewee!
