Pupils feel fully prepared and well supported in the lead up to their Year 6 examinations, without experiencing unnecessary pressure. Last year, 96% of Y6 pupils received offers from selective senior schools, within both the grammar and independent sectors. Our exam preparation is gradual and carefully structured, ensuring that pupils enjoy a positive, stimulating and happy learning journey. Pupils work closely with specialist teachers to devise individual targets that enable them to build confidence and improve their performance.
As a small independent prep school serving families from Altrincham, Hale and across Greater Manchester, we recognise that every child is different. While many pupils go on to selective grammar and independent schools, our focus remains on helping each child achieve their personal best and preparing them for the senior school environment in which they will thrive.
We also hold parents’ evenings and pupil review meetings to provide detailed information about the wide range of grammar schools, independent schools and other senior school options available across Manchester, Trafford and Cheshire. This enables parents to make well informed decisions about future school choices and identify the pathway that best suits their child’s strengths, interests and aspirations.
